household water demand - 1child+2adults
our average water demand for past 382 days was ...
Uh er... Drumroll please Mr. producer-
r u redi 4 this? Ok
467liter / day or 0.08gpm
umm
so 0.5 to 0.8gpm well with storage tank should suffice most homes with lots o reserve, 10x demand
'
i am bit surprised as rot is 100gpd/person we are 1/3 the average, even with my baths, wify big wash machine, and moderate use by lawn watering + inet cafe people for 1st floor toilet .
'
massive sized pumps seem 2b waste of $€£
'
cavit:
when wify do wash we easily down a 1k liter tank for that day. I kno as have well pump die sundry reeasons and sto tk run dry maybe 3 or 4 x n past yr.
'
filters:
backwash sand filter 1x/mo
cartridge filter no more than 5 n past yr perhaps norm ave would be 3 per year for our water- mostly shallow well-
o-k?

mr gato; hope u read below with gr8 intensity:
detailed snake count:
location: griffith house - north thailand
layout: cement block perimeter wall, with 2 inch drain ports & wire mesh gates, one at front of property plus 1@ rear of property
snakes counted nside property since move in mid october 2010 are as follows:
I. killed it in action (kia) on front porch of GH
II. Kia inside 1st floor front room after coming thru open screen door (I add: leaving open screen doors is propensity, regular feature, of native locals both visitors and residents)
III. Kia sunning outside inet cafe on cement foundation by rear guard action after escaping frontal assault.
Non KIA sightings of snakes on or near property:
1. The 1st snake sighting was last spring. Baby snake poking head out of under ground electrical conduit. Remedial action taken: plug all conduits with silicone sealant both into and out of any jb or other conduit protrusions thru walls.
2. Snake swimming in pooled water of neighbors property. Remedial action: ditch neighbors property to facilitate drainage and minimize water pooling as potential snake food source (frogs + taddypoles) near property.
3. Snake sighted egressing from property under front gate. Sighting made from 2nd floor window. A hasty pursuit was insufficient to kill or capture: resulting in missed chance to reduce snake population near GH
4. Snake sighted few days prior to most recent kia near inet cafe. Since our snakes dont wear their athletes numbers, it is impossible ascertain if most recent kia from inet cafe area is same or just brother of that snake sighting. For now will assume there are 2 snakes near inet cafe & non kia is still on loose
-5th. non kia was of snake on road passing from rice field to downslope neighbors property. My motocy tyre missed it intentionally out of concern a rear end smash may invite a head recoil upon my unprotected leg.
*
so goes the local snake story(s)
cheerio :-O-|
