Introducing Duncan!

Postby duncanwil » Fri Feb 01, 2013 2:40 pm

Dear All,

I have been a Thai visitor for many years and have decided to move to Thailand. We already have a room in BKK and I am moving over from the UK bit by bit.

My Thai family is from near SangKha in Isan and I will be building a house there this year all being well. We've been given a plot of land by the family so that's one hurdle overcome already.

I found this site today but have already seen some fantastic tips. One thing I liked was the article on using solar power to heat water WITHOUT those expensive photovoltaic cells: our room in BKK has a big tank on the roof and we get warm showers without the need for electricity ... I will include such a tank in our house!!

Best wishes

Yes welcome to CTH.

This is certainly the place for solar water heating, it can be cost effective and also a way to do your bit for the environment.

Here is the system we installed. It does have an electrical back up heater, some day if the need arises just might hook it up.

Here is some information to get you started ... &Itemid=98
