Teak house builders

Postby mikecwm » Thu Jan 13, 2011 11:32 am

Sawasdee.
I've tried contacting a Teak house builder - Thailannahome.com, apparantly based in Chiang Mai.
Their email address doesn't work and a message sent to them via their web page has not been replied to.
Can anyone up there in Chiang Mai tell me if this company is still in business? If so, how to contact them?

Plus if you know of any other companies building houses in teak - anywhere in Thailand, I'd be interested in getting contact details.
Many thanks.

Hi Mike

I have no connection with this guy and therefore this is not a recommendation. I found his details on another site where he is listed as having been a member for a few years ... maybe he can point you in the right direction as apparently ThaiLannaHome bring their teak from Phrae.

I am a sourcing agent in Chiangmai. I can travel with you to Phrae or other places nearby and locate prefabricated teak homes and gazebos ready for re-assembly. Please contact Rainer at eutin45@yahoo.com

We spotted a small company building transportable wood houses on Route 21, somewhere around Chai Badan with very nice looking small cabins. Picture attached of one of their offerings (I hope).
PM me if you need more details of them.
My wife has their phone number. They do not have a web site.
They re-machine old teak from farmhouse. Very good workmanship.
We will have one of theirs taken to our land in Petchabun in December.
Photos of the great occasion to follow.

Hi Pipoz.

The one we're getting is 22.6 sq meters divided into 2 rooms, plus 18.5 sq meters of deck. Main building is 3 meters by 7.54.
Cost for that one is 500,000 Baht. Includes delivery to our land.
They make several different models, all small enough to be moved on a truck.
We wanted one to live in while we have the workshop and house built, then it'll become the guest cottage.
We looked at a few different companies and decided we'd be happier going for better workmanship and materials than the cheapest price.

Hi Ben

Their phone number is 081 037 9953, or 087 308 4800
Ask for Bhon (wife) / Som Bud. (Husband).
No company name or web page.
I've scoured Google Earth and think I found the place, though I advise phoning first.
15Deg, 23' 50.13" N
101Deg, 06' 01.55" E
It's on the East side of Rt 21 about 7km south of Si Thep in Petchabun Province
