COST of building on PILES

Postby jazzman » Mon Mar 02, 2009 9:58 pm

RickB has recently reportd his experience on using piles. Here goes:

Rick B wrote:On our apartment project, we drove 24 piles, each pile being 20x20cm (square) and 6m long. Each pile cost 900 baht. The cost to drive the piles was 12,000 baht total, or 500 baht/pile. They drove all 24 piles in less than one day. If you were to use the standard I-shaped pile, they would be a little cheaper and probably drive a little easier. We went with the square piles to give us more strength.
