Actually, the 16000 bahts cover the services from the Lawyers (which of course have to be remunerated, no problem with that) and the fees and tax from the local authority. I don't know what is the amount for the tax that Jazzman mentioned, but I would suspect that the remuneration for the lawyer is...

Using a company to buy and own land

I have just been in a conversation between an accountant and a guy who wants to buy land. This guy plans to build a 10 - 20 bungalow village, so he wants to use a company to buy the land etc etc. The accountant confirmed that a company can be set up and buy the land for the development project the g...

That's interesting. I 've never thought I could do it myself. My understanding was that an 'agreement' had to be put in place between the land owner and the usufruct(ier), and of course in thai language, before you could register the deal on the Chanotte. Do you mean that you just need to knock the...

Your shop?

Like I wrote on the other topic, many people are satisfied with <edit dozer> They also work a little outside Korat, like Buriram, Khon Kaen, Chonburi, etc. They are posting on <edit dozer> Hmmm Koratcat, 3 posts from you last year and 2 recommend this lawyer. This does not happen to be your shop, d...

Apology

I just realized that in January 2006 I recommended a lawyer and accounting company here. I thought I would have edited that post long ago, but apparently I did not. Well, now it is done  If anybody remembers, then better forget that name quickly, but if anyone has followed my recommendation, t...

WANTED: 1 or 2 rai directly at high traffic road in pattaya

A friend of me needs land directly at a high traffic road in Pattaya, preferably Pattaya South. Minimum 1 rai, better 1.5 rai, 2 rai is Ok as well.

Yes, he knows it is expensive there, but that is what he needs, to be directly at a high traffic road.

There is a reason why translations cost money.

they could not even translate a document correctly, so much so that I had trouble reading it and I can usually decipher the best 'tinglish' sms's !!! Doesn't surprise me. Most farangs here have a cheap charly attitude when it comes to translations, they do not want to pay the extra costs of having ...

Some people are quick to complain about products and/or services they have had here in Thailand. It comes partly from the paranoia of expecting to be ripped off - which of course is no unwise caution to take. However, there are many instances that , if the full facts were known and examined very ca...

Not all judges take the side of Thai, in fact it has been my experience to hear of cases which have simply followed the law and whichever side is correct wins. many foreigners have won in thai courts, both big and small cases. I agree with this. nawty. Indeed, there are many cases where the one who...

ArtA,
where does all this data in your site come from? You scrape it automatically? Or read it real time with each request?

And is this a non-profit site or do you take a commission?

There are quite a few lawyer companies here, whom I would put on a list to avoid. The one I'm thinking of first of all cost me a lot of money, and I know of at least 2 others who have been clients there and who had big problems too. And if I say "big problems" I mean big problems . Such as...

Do we have a thread where to list people 'not to use' ?? I got banned from Thaivisa also, but mostly through their on mass sense of humour surgical removals over there. But alas....my 10th warning was a post on someone NOT to employ and it and me got canned for it. Wow, 10 warnings! You seem to lik...

You should get a superficies and not a leasing! I have already done it for a plot here in Chiang Mai. The superficies give you more rights then a leasing! "superficies" is one way to go, especially if you do not plan to sell the property again. However why settle with "superficies&qu...

Re: Leasing Land - How's it done?

Most real estate agents and websites claim that you can lease land for a period of 30 years and prolong it two times, which will result in 3 times 30 years = 90 years. Actually this is not correct. The law says, that you can lease land for ONE period of 30 years and prolong it ONCE for another 30 y...
