Hi, just want to share some pictures with you to get this topic going. Instead of building a new stone farlang house, I decided to go old style....

Don't want to dampen your idea, but timber, particularly old hardwood, is not cheap in Thailand.

Unless, you manage to buy an old Thai house and relocate it to your land

Yep, so I found this one, bought it. Then it was time to find a piece of land.

So make sure you keep dry feet and poor in the concrete for the foundation

Roughly done by a machine and then by hand. After the wood is installed in the house it is re-sanded (by hand), gets treatment against termites and then painted (transparent)
