3rd March

Not such a good start to the day

At 8am we have a crane

We have the requested crane and the roofing team at 8am. By 9am I'm getting concerned because there is no sign of the artic with the roof so I call SSR to let them know that as they asked everything was ready by 8 o'clock and that the crane is booked until 12, 30 mins later the managing director of SSR called SWMBO to say that the driver was 60km away and that he would pay for extra time for the crane if it was needed.

Just after 10 the artic turns up having spotted us by the crane jib that was about 30 metres in the air.

Our first view of the roof

The crane made quite fast work of placing the roof packages in the correct places, this was helped by correct loading and labels by SSR when they assembled the order in Bangkok.

To be continued
I have only about 200 pictures and video from today

I think that, that might be the book that SWMBO wants to hit me with because I want things done right (as far as I can) and I will not accept "do it the easy way" because the person didn't listen to what was needed.

If it is not correct I will try to work with what's been done, but if I can't then it's "tear it down and do it right"

We are lucky that our builder has a cool heart.

Don't worry MGV12, I'm pretty sure that Ozbloke is a refugee from another board in the Issan region,
and unless you want to get really angry with an idiot troll you don't want to know about John G

And yes Ozbloke I am putting water tanks in the roof and no I'm not going to use a pressure tank that defies Boyle's law :x  (inside joke)
Welcome, I hope you will find a more comfortable environment here.

SWW, looking great, the build takes on a whole new character once the roof goes on, quite a milestone. I've also used Steel and Solar Roof after reading RR glowing report on his build. I must say they've been really helpful in reviewing my designs and providing technical assistance. I'm very pleased with their service and products.

Thanks.

They are good in that way, I'll wait to see what they do about the oversupply and foam install before I say great.

The installation team we have is very good, the install started after lunch on Thursday and they say they will complete tomorrow, I would guess before lunch so that will make it 4 days for about 600 Sq metres. That shows how fast cliplock is to install.

Which profile are you getting and what colour?

4 days work and the metal install is finished

I will say great for that part of the install, very fast, accurate, tidy and reliable subcontractors.
