Please advise average cost per square metre for concrete block fence construction with materials or labour costs only . Any advice on using normal concrete blocks or aerated blocks should be appreciated.

No point in using AAC blocks.
All in cost goes from about ฿800 to as much as you want, per running meter. It will depend on what style and hight you want
It isn't common to quote per sqm for a fence

Concrete posts including concrete footing every three metres: ฿70.- / meter
Concrete blocks, 7cm, height of fence 150cm: ฿150/ meter.
Reinforced concrete footings 20cm deep x 45cm: ฿90 / metre.
Labour, including disposal of excavated material: ฿180.- / metre(Guess)

I'm a lazy builder and I guess I build at Thai speed. In fact the above figures are all guesses, but that's about what I reckon with. Only another 600 metres to go!

Front fence

..the fence we have nearly completed cost THB1050 per metre and is 1.9m high. Price as of Sept/Oct 2015
This included:
-Posts and rendering on both sides.
-All building materials and bricks
-Posts are 2.5m apart, not the often 3m apart.
-The front gate posts are extra large
-The bricks are the thicker wall type and all steel reinforcement bar 'reo' used was either 10mm or 12mm.
-The post holes were 600mm x 600mm x 600mm.
-We have 3 workers doing the job and it's taken about 1 month all up and its not 100% complete.

Price did not include:
-clearing of trees & shrubs
-leveling of land prior to building fence
-main entrance - sliding gate
-concrete for the gate install etc.
-painting post rendering

Location is in Sukhothai Province

hope this helps
regards

Hi and that's (TB 1050 per LM) is a good price per Linear Meter, given it includes all materials & labour and also rendering both side.

What thickness (width) concrete block did you use 6cm or 10cm?

My fence price worked out to be around TB 1,500 - 1,700 per Linear Meter, from memory

Hi pipoz, thanks for the reply.

..yes price was excellent I thought at THB1050 per linear m. The builder is a family friend hence the 'mates rates'

All post and steel form work - reinforcement was done onsite which saved on costs. No prefab except for the bricks.

Blocks are the 10mm. These were hard to find locally so the builder advised. We ended up having to wait for them to be made which only took a week to receive the 1st delivery. They were then delivered as they were made which worked out OK.

Your price is still reasonable all the same. Our same builder has quoted us THB1500 per linear for doing phase 2 of the fence. Phase 2 will be the side fence between us and the adjoining farm block. This is due to the additional materials and labor for installing stays - gussets at each fence post. These are required due to the terrain being softer and potentially unstable compared to the rest of the fence. Phase 2 price does not include removal of overgrown trees, shrubs and old barb wire farm fence.

thanks

cheers
