My Building Story! Nongku District, Chaiyaphum

Postby arickuk » Fri Oct 02, 2015 4:47 am

We started clearing the land yesterday. 5 Rai but clearing only 2 to 3 Rai
Started with the first people to do the work but they wanted to much. So we have a friend help us out. The pond is going to be deep and very strong. We want to go down to 6 metres. The first people wanted 55,000 per Rai and said no way. We are now with these guys 35,000 baht per Rai plus 170 Bath per truck load moved.
The house plan has been picked out. We are not going with such a large house not need when there is only two of us. the house planned picked out is very modern design for the area and we have opted for 900,000 baht price

That is rather high even if you are using the earth yourself.
If you aren't getting the earth then it is way too much, as they will be selling the fill to other people.

I got it now!!!!

Not 35.000 Baht. that is even with a Thai speaking expect of 25 years.

THE Cost is 170 Bath per truck which will amount to around 250 truck loads for a grand total of around 42,000 Baht for our entire land preparation.

Your lucky if you can get a fence up in Bermondsey for that! LOL

Right, at that cost per truck you have got a good price if it includes the Macko, I would expect more than 250 truck loads though specialy if you are really going down to 10 meters. They will have to do it in 3 or 4 stages as 3 metres is the usual maximum for anything but the biggest Macko.
We paid 220 but that also included a tractor to flatten the earth.

Yes, They think the tractors can push the dirt down. There is a roller down the road. It has rained a lot so the soil has gone down quiet a bit. there is a well somewhere on the land just asking to see where it is. Everybody in the province is registering their new land this week. so it was good timing.
