By the way you guys, using those Thai scaffold frames, unless you want to risk it all falling over, the "Rule of Thumb" safe height is no more than 3 times the width unsupported. Any more then that and it should be tied into the building / braced outwards to increase it's base, or just a piece of rope to restrain it from going over.

If you are going to buy the drill press you can also buy larger chucks for them to tale the larger drills. Just be warned that the presses are made in China and won't last if you go for heavy drilling without using oil on the drill bits the whole time. For a few thousand baht more you can get Makita or Maktec that will last a lifetime.
Thai Watsadu have an excellent range of power equipment, it's a pity the kids try and flog the American brands when the Japanese ones are far better.

The drill press show is like 1800 Baht in my local market.
Never buying tools, except consumables like sandpaper, in the big shops. Too expensive. Bought a copy B&D hammer in the market 3 years ago and it's been used extensively in my renovation. Never gave a problem.. Less than 2000 baht.
Having a problem? I just go back and the guy repairs it on the spot.

Finally stripped out the formwork. Concrete is a bit rough but not a structural issue

Still trying to decide whether to knock down the 4 columns in the center front. Will decide after I see the roof go on.

The Roofer has delayed his start from 10 August to late August, because my roof tile colour (Black Steel) is apparently not available until mid September

For those of you who haven't decided on or started your roofing, I found this in Thaiwatsadu last week - Diamond Ultra Truss

Didn't take to close a look as I had already decided on the Top Hat system from Home Mart

I have that large drill press. It's a Rexon from Taiwan. It's a solid bit of kit and I am very happy with mine.

I got it from Thai Watsadu. It was just under 10k baht if I remember correctly. I use it mainly for woodworking so I built a larger table with a fence, also added a mobile base so I can roll it around as required.

I took this photo when I finished building the base, it's nowhere near that tidy now, off to clean up the shop a bit :D

Hey Gippy
That's way to nice of a table for a drill press, if my wife see it, she would put a doily on it or put a lamp shade the drill press, I have furniture in my house that is not as nice

Day 88 Roofer arrived to start framing. Nothing much happened since the last concrete pour on 11 June, until now, other than selecting the roofer and the colour of the roof tiles.

The Turtle moves again, but the Roof Tiles are no expected until later September
