Wood doors in a bathroom?

Postby Baht Man » Mon Jun 16, 2014 6:59 am

As Teak used in boat building, would there be any problem using one there?

I'm in need of a slider and can't see using those grey pvc doors, and most alredy have the cutout for the hardware.

Are there any woods besides Teak that I could use and what kind of sealer should be applied?

Thanks in advance.

There is already a thread on this which answers some of your questions.

Yea, I know b/c I posted it before I seen a wondows/door heading and never got what I needed there.

I've found some wood doors that are supposed to ok in the bathroom,
but I'm trying to find out what kind of sealer I should use.

Any input would be helpful.

Couple of coats of anti-termite "chondrite", followed by 3 coats of polyurathane.
