When choosing the glass for my house I looked at 5 mm, 6mm and 8 mm green tinted. The thicker the glass, the darker the tint and the 8 mm was best. I went for 6 mm because when my windows are open there are 3 panes stacked in front of each other and one can still see through the lot while with 8 mm this would have been difficult.
