Heat gain / control question

Air conditioning, fans, and anything related to keeping it cool, such as insulation. This would include any posts generally discussing how to keep it cool, such as which types of blocks are better insulators.... ideal wall thickness for keeping an A/C house cool, etc.

In fact all double glassed units are gas filled. The better ones may use argon or krypton the others use 79%N + 20%O2 1% other.

The importance is in the way they are sealed and that the gas is dry and they have desiccant to remove moisture

An alternative some use is secondary windows. They seem to be quite effective.

Agreed, as I sold windows back in the day.
Argon, krypton was common. We even got into triple glazed, but the double hung tilting ones were quite heavy.

I've never seen that type of window here. :(
