Electric Opacity Glass

Postby landslide » Mon Aug 20, 2012 1:35 am

I am new to this forum, but have been reading the posts with a great degree of interest. I was wondering if anyone is aware of a distributer of electric opacity glass products. We are currently working on a design for a house, to be built in Pranburi. I installed a window made of electric opacity glass in my sister's bathroom remodel, after seeing some examples here in the US. Works great. The window is clear like any other, but throw a switch, and the glass becomes opaque, only letting in light. I want to install a large window over the tub in the master suite looking out on the garden for my wife. Thought this would be a good way to give her some privacy when others are about, but allow the view otherwise.

my comments may be wrong but never deliberately

I once saw it here at a building expo and I was interested but when I saw the shoddy finishes they achieved I decided against it. The wires were visible, the seals were coming off ....

The installation at my sister's house was very clean, and the window looks the same as other windows in the house. For my intended use on our home here, the window will be facing a small garden area, and is not exposed to casual onlookers. My other option is blinds, and I will probably end up going that route.
