The approaching death of Fred K

Postby Sometimewoodworker » Thu Nov 26, 2015 10:09 pm

I have been corresponding on building matters with Fred.

His building story is here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1698

And was shocked to learn that he is terminal sick, I talked to him in Israel this evening and he said I was welcome to post anything about him. I don't know if anyone wants to know more.

Nui and I only met him 2 or 3 times but it was an instant friendship, we will miss him.

He is limited to accessing the net on his iPhone and though still interested in building can't log on to CoolThaiHouse now.

He finds it difficult to write much but was able to talk for about 30 minutes.

Very sad,

Fred was one of the first members that assisted me in my house build, in fact at one time we shared contractors, and we fired him at the same time

Always helpful and gracious in giving advice or assistance to many members here at CHT

He is in my prayers and I hope for the best

It's never good to hear that a member is terminally ill. As a non believer along with Fred I hope he doesn't suffer too much.

Fred, sorry to hear such bad news -trust you are coping as best you can under such trying circumstances. You will be pleased to know the 2 cameras you donated to my son get a good work out from him any time we go anywhere special.

I have been talking to "Steel And Solar Roof Co.,Ltd. (SSR) Formally Intertech" in large part due to our meetings and conversations with Fred K.

It was because of this and that was asking him some questions related to the roof that I found out, a little late but luckily not too late, of his worsting condition.

I thought that this was an appropriate sentiment so sent it, with a little trepidation, to Fred

This is his exact reply "Waetcjhed it a 1000 titimes and more. Love it" a little sad to see his difficulties in typing.

So it seems that we share a sense of humour.
