Changing times

My immediate response of .... really? ... was followed by my considered response of .... really?

The UK's most popular baby boy name in 2014 was ... drum roll .... Muhammad

Not everyone believes that which is written in the Daily Mail .... so here's an Independent view; the spelling is different [!?] but the name is the same:

Semantic correction.
It is not an Independent view but the view of The Independant a newspaper that used to claim that it was not politicly biased but no longer does.

The paper originally described itself as "free from party political bias, free from proprietorial influence"—a banner it carried on the front page of its daily edition. This banner was dropped in September 2011

Someone took the bait! :) The word Independent [not Independant  ] was used in its capitalised form in mid-sentence and therefore as a proper noun. Capitonyms at work :)

Lets not turn the thread into a linguistics debate .... although that is an area where times are a changing ... that's times not The Times or even "The Times They Are a-Changin"
