Postby gliffaes » Fri Jan 17, 2014 5:12 am

Mentioned in my "el cheapo build" anyone think this price for rendering is ok?, inside and out except stock room interior walls left bare.

We just got the house rendered on the outside and it was 80 bath per sqm!
All materials, tools and scaffolding provided by us.

It was a local team and they did a nice job. Most other teams were from 100 - 120 bath.

I hope I will also get them for the inside of the house. Either I will give them a slight increase as there are more corners and details.
This will just serve them not rushing and keeping a good quality.

Hi Glifaes,

The Quote was for TB 25,000 for some 51.6 m2 (footprint of house)

Is that just for the labour only component (no materials and no tools) for the construction the foundation, slab, block walls and roof frame, roof tiles & eaves,(excluding the render and installation of windows etc.)

Correct, 80TB/m2 just labour!

We used the premixed render for Q-Con (poon chaab Q-con).

Thanks chaps.
Bit confused by your reply (above) Pipoz, just a price for rendering (chaaap) only I did all the other work its just a labour price for the walls to be done. Ill calculate the surface area later today and see if it equates to 80baht per m2

I calculated the area to render inc water house inside and out at about 150m2
The price 25k from the builder when questioned on how many m2 he calculated to get this price he "couldnt remember"
At 120 baht a m2 ( his price) makes it 18k baht hmmmmmmmm he then said cupbaords he charges 1000 as fiddly....ok so 21k max but 25k hahahahahaaha
Ok so we told him 21k and he said ok.
This includes putting the galvanized metal mesh around all concrete posts lintels etc but NO materials
