Cutting insulation bats

Postby cooked » Sat May 07, 2016 2:34 am

Just a quick question: I shall soon be putting insulation into my roof space. It is full of an appalling haphazard mess of wires attached from the roof purlins to the framework supporting the ceiling. This will be a pleasant job I'm sure. So although I should be able to cut some wires and then reattach them differently, what do I do if I decide to cut a slit through the insulation here and there to make life easier, do these slits need to be repaired somehow?
Thanks

No, otherwise bats would come in a continuous roll and have to be sealed at all the "joints" from separate rolls.
