Retiring in Thailand

Postby stevenff » Fri Aug 08, 2014 6:20 am

Hello Everybody,
I'm an American married to a Thai lady and intend to retire there in a year or so. We're planning on a build in Aranyaprathet where we have a half rai of land. Just wanted to say thanks for all of your contributions and I'm sure I'll be asking for advice from time to time.

Welcome to the Forum, we need more Americans over here,
please hurry,
if I hear an other Aussie story over here I think I will puke.
By the way if not familiar with the term Aussie this a definition I found on the internet, and you know that if it is on the internet it mast be true, :D
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=aussie
aussie
A cobber from the awesome ([a typo I am sure, they meant Awful) race we call Australians. He or she is likely to excell in all kinds of sports, drinking beer, talking the ear of a grasshopper or just being a plain old funny prick.
The aussie who didn't give a fuck what other countries talk s**t about, drank 45 beers after watching the footy.

But don't wait until you retire in Thailand, jump in this forum, learn all you can about building here, and by the time you get here, you would be so completely disgusted , you will probably want to retire in Nigeria, and go in bussines with a Nigerian prince whose inheritance is unfortunately locked up in litigation in the UK
Any way, talked too much. Welcome to the forum.
I talk to my self because I am the only one who will listen
