This is a second attempt at creating a space where those who feel so inclined may post their 'family portraits'.

As it has nothing to do with construction unless of course it is of you building your house, stand-alone photos might find a place here.

This is not a suggestion or a compulsion or a requirement. I am only opening a dedicated topic for the subject.

There had been one earlier attempt at such a thread here: members gallery.

There was also a shot of another member shot here: green faced member

Geordie,
If you like I can help you (and others) reduce photos to the correct size for posting on the website.
All you need to do is upload the photo to an online storage space that I have and I then reduce it.
You then download it and post it on coolthaihouse.
If you are interested, send me a pm and I will send you the link for your upload.
Fred.

Very generous offer Fred

Another way if you don't have a photo editing package .. for those using Windows XP [onwards] is to resize in Microsoft Office Picture Manager ... this is the standard viewer for jpeg's/jpg's [same thing] ... just click on the pic you want to resize and when it opens in MOPM you click on the 'picture' drop down on the top toolbar and then 'resize' ... one of the options in the window that opens is 'predefined width x height' ... click on the down arrow by the box and click on 'web large' ... this will be accepted by CTH 'upload attachment' ..... save and you are ready to upload ... if you want to keep the original pic at it's original size click on 'save as' and then give the smaller version a different name.

My 'mixer' dog Indy who came with me from England ... very friendly but as you can see from the size of the log she's not to be messed with ... she carried that for about a kilometre with just two brief rests. Feedback from the local area is that you should only come to our house if invited ... good girl Indy, good girl!

and here we have it a picture of the kids????? well we treat them the same the dog in jail is not one of mine he belongs to a breeder i took the picture because typical jack russel he is doing a balancing act in the corner of his pen seeking atention standing on an inch wide ledge so having fell for it and made a fuss he slid through the bars (escaped and followed his new friends around the place) when he was told to he went straight back to his little jail slid throgh the bars back inside then proceeded with the balansing act again it just apealed to my sense of humour the way he did it
the other pictures are of my own mutts mum with puppies and pupies debating about who is going for a walk we currently have 5 dogs each with its own character and a great source of amusement most days they are better than telly

Nice dogs. I don't quite see it, but are these short legged, short-haired Jack Russells?
I don't think I've seen ones exactly like them.

can you love a goldfish?

Postby fredlk » Sun Apr 17, 2011 11:20 am

I still haven't found any Jack Russells and I'm envious of geordie with his, but I have recently acquired some fish. Once construction is complete there will be 25 metres of fishpond by 120 centimetres wide and about 80 centimetres deep and in these I will keep only goldfish. I have had dogs - as a child - and cats, but never any fish so, when I saw an ad by a returning expat wanting to find a new home for his tank with 2 guppies, 2 'sharkfish', and 2 goldfish, one named Fred and the other Henry, I knew I had to have them. I have had them 2 months now. 1 guppy is deceased and 1 ' sharkfish' committed suicide.

Henry on the right and Fred on the left:

When I go near them they get excited and come up to greet me because they think it's feeding time. They really react to me and I find that I have grown rather attached to them.
Who couldn't fall for a face like Henry's? I do hope he lives long enough to see his new home built and then when he gets neighbours I hope I can find him amongst them.
