You are lucky! Prices in Mae Taeng north of Chiang Mai have gone up from 300 baht to 500 baht for a six wheel load. The government cracked down on excavations on government land so supply went down overnight.

Amphoe Suwannakhuha, Nong Bua Lamphu province. Today's price (Wednesday 20 March) Baht 300 per 6-wheel truck including tractor for levelling.
I see people are still talking about 'companies' - in my experience there is no such thing, nearly all deliverers of dirt are truck-owner-drivers on temporary contract to any particular major or minor land excavation.

You guys are lucky. I just had 17 ea. 6-wheel truck loads delivered and smoothed to raise up my access road by 1/2 meter to be ready for the rainy season. 1000 baht per truck here in Phuket.

Well that's logical in Phuket. We get swimming pools built here in Isan and Bangkok for 800,000 baht - in Phuket they cost over 2 million and a real professional still has to fly down there and put it right afterwards. Top quality saltwater chlorinators sell on line in Thailand for around baht 60,000, I've seen the same ones on sale in Phuket and Krabi for over 110,000 ..,

That'd be me talking companies.....around here there are several companies with trucks, with backhoes, with makros etc.

Some even have an office all flash like.

Hi is Amphoe Suwannakhuha, Nong Bua Lamphu some 40km west of Udon Thani? Generally what type/grade of Fill is it for TB 300 per 6 wheeler?

I would consider trucking it in from their to Udon Thani if it is reasonable quality Fill. Do you have any contact name/number?

I would also be interested in knowing the local price for top quality garden soil and where I might find some (contact name or number if any one has one) in the general Udon Thani areas, if anyone knows, as I need about 12 x 6 wheel truck loads

The signpost in Suwan actually says 'Udon Thani 111 Km'. My village is on the road to Udon and somewhat nearer. I measure 82 Km from my house to the to Ban Thon where the road from Kud Chap meets the Udon ring road.
I've always found that one of the best ways to get fill dirt is to flag down the driver of a truck full of dirt and ask him where he's getting it from. It usually won't be coming from far away. There is a huge amount of development going on on the western ring road, so that's probably the best place to start looking.

Pipoz, there excavating what looks like a new reservoir next to the one where our water comes from. About 3k from your plot. If someone went and asked them direct I think you could get a good price.
