the above first pic shows the view taken in..directly in front of where any one will be sitting...at the flys bar. having a drink.and the second pic..shows view from behind...our prized pony who did our sandstone walls has been called in to quote... to build a floor for the bar...

its a gidday to all....its the thaifly from mae rim...after a herculan effort..the fly finally rounded up his prized pony..to carry out..a rather small job..but a interesting one..which is building a tiled floor. 4 mtrs by 3 mtrs .for our sala/bar..to take in the views of the pics above..in addition to this work ..we are going to build..2 sets of steps...over 2 split levels which lead from our top level to our second level..passing our guest house ..then leading to our main gate.... you will notice that sandstone walls are to be built also.. which will give this job a BO DEREK LOOK .at the moment we have a slippery dip footpath in place... VERY DANGEROUS.. the fly expects a 60 to 70 thousand baht price tag....for this job..see how we go....pics to follow.......now dozer :D  :D  ..see if you can red card this post.. :D  :D  ...ITS A COPPED PLENTY OF RED CARDS OF LATE .GIDDAY TO ALL...its the thai fly from mae rim

its a gidday to all..its the thai fly from mae rim..just a short update on our small job :) our prized THAI pony..and his THAI team ..are doing a smashing job..eight days so far..expect at least another six..to complete the work..to a very high standard..which is the norm .. if you have the good fortune of engaging a experienced THAI builder....the fly over the years..has always engaged thai contractors etc etc ...whilst at times..we have had our share of ups and down...in general..most are very good at their trade they ply..have had first hand knowledge of these so called highly expensive know it all farung consultants/builders during my years.. while perhaps there is the exception to the rule..most are :?: :?: :?: .. let you fill in the question marks.. the fly would vouch for a thai over a farung..any day :D ...will post pics early next week..and my costs are on course as estimated..even with extra work thrown in..just a average c.t.h. non commercial membe r is the fly..who has always given help to members..for free...never looking for a kill ..just to meet c.t.h. members makes me happy. :D :D .and have met many great ones over the years as well :D :D and hope it will continue ..ITS A ALWAYS FAIR DINKUM THAIFLY GIDDAY TO ALL...ITS THE THAI FLY FROM MAE RIM

Thaifly,
Your place is really beautiful. Often rest my eyes on your pics.
Maybe it bit too cold up there for me though.

MangoPin you are quite right Thaifly’s is indeed delightful. I was up that way a few weeks ago and had the pleasure of visiting the fly and his lovely sheila. Had the tour and spent a wonderful day only wish I had more time to spend. Too cold I think not remember it still gets to over 30C during the day. Just open and close your windows at the right time to have the house at the best temperature.
It's not who you know, it's whom you know.

Nice work and looking good. A (stupid?) question: Why red brick and not blocks?
And don't forget the handrail for when you're a little under the weather and need to make your way back up the hill.

Hi Thaifly,

Everything is certainly looking like a Bo Derick! Or, if you want to update that comment a little, it's looking like a Brooklyn Decker (Google that name and you'll see what I'm talking about)! Keep up the excellent photos and thanks for sharing.
