Finally selected the Range Hoods (2) - HAFELE HH-90 TABLA CAP

Now starting to work on the Kitchen Color for Cabinet, Wall Tiles and Granites (Floor & Benchtop)

A couple of more developed drawing ideas

One of the cook tops may turn into a BBQ Grill type

Also looking at the Hafele Curved Amsterdam Series Hood HH-90 ARCH TC

Anyone had any experience with the performance and or failure of the Hafele Hoods and Cook Tops (Hob)

Kitchen Lighting, Fan and Equipment Power (not finished yet)

Will position GPO's when walls are going up

May drop a few Type 2 lights off, reduce to 3 No over center of the Island Bench and add Power to the Bench, via the floor.

I can't comment on the lifespan of the Hobs but we have chosen to go with a double gas hob that will be matched with a double induction cook top.

This is the gas unit we will be fitting,

There are a number of induction units that are a similar format

Thanks Jerome

Where did you see this Model/Brand, looks like in Homepro??

I did look at others like Smeg etc, but wanted to find something more kind/practicable for the way the Thais cook, when it came to supporting the larger Woks they tend to use.

So I was looking for a Brand/Model with that larger metal stand/ring around the burner, something that they could easily balance the Wok on it when cooking and also something that had the two main Bruners spaced apart, so that they could fit one Wok and one larger Cooking Pot on it at the same time

We got it from Home Hub in Khon Kaen, I would think that your Wok would fit with the supplemental support, though they did try to sell it to us without it as they claimed it was from another unit. However polite insistence convinced them to include it.

We are going with the dual fuel cook top on the basis that for some things an induction cooker could be better but, with the frequency of power cuts, having gas available will be a necessity.

The Roofer boys have come to check the steel roof frame and measure up for the quotation to install the roof tiles & foil

My guess is it will be around TB 12,500 to install the tiles, dry-tek & foil only.

A Good Idea concerning the dual fuel cook top.
brock ground with driving piles a few weeks ago, and are now waiting for the rains to stop to proceed with foundation (will start thread when I have more time) and I had not considered the above in my plans for the kitchen.
I will certainly bring it up with the wife.

Congratulation sirineou for breaking ground.

It’s always an interesting time at the start

My idea for dual cook tops came about because every time I wanted to cook my bacon, sausages and eggs, (my way) there were two Thai woman (the TG and Daughter) clambering over the top of me or to my side, wanting to cook one of their many daily snacks and or eat my bacon and eggs. Fighting over who got the gas burner became a struggle.

Then the gas bottle would run out (normally just after I started) after they cooked another one of their snacks late at night, so your truly had to go and get a refill before I could think about having a cooked breakfast.

Did I tell you that in my design I have planned to put up a removable chain wire fence, between the two cook tops and password on my gas bottle, just to keep the peace

Started the roof tiling, but it poured with rain in the afternoon, so stopped the crew before one fell off.

Its about 3.8 meters to fall :(

Installing the connection plates on the columns to take the 150 x 50 steel beam in wall, to support the 100 x 40 steel beam brackets under the kitchen bench top.
