Yes, I understand. I was looking on their site for a 52” fan but they do not provide a price. I’m thinking around 240.00USD which is about 3.5 times more than what I budgeted. I have other electric service issues, that until I solve them, might force me to install the cheaper ones. I will keep them in mind as I may be able to replace them later. The cheaper ones could be moved to the smaller house we built earlier this year. Thanks again for the information.

I don't know why you didn't find a price you should be able to get a bit of a discount

The "construction crew" want to embrace the "New Year" holiday and spend time with their families so they return after the new year. It's probably best to get the holidays out of the way. Construction will start in January.

Construction crew came back to work on 4 Jan. Purchased about 50,000thb worth of steel. They are bending and cutting the rebar for the footings and columns. The contractor indicated that he wanted to get a backhoe to dig down to the piles. He said the dirt is hard (or sticky) so digging by hand would be too much work. We are asking around to see if anyone can make the rounded top windows we want. We are also getting a quote for the Q-con block so we can get them on order.

Hi Pipoz, not sure. they are finishing up the rebar, the piles are in but they haven't started digging the holes for the footers. There was some discussion about bringing in a backhoe because it was basically too much work to dig by hand. Hopefully soon.

Backhoe due in at the end of the month to dig the footing holes. Chinese holidays next week. I'm getting mixed answers on how long they last. Hopefully all framing will be finished early next week.

I recently used Prime Asia for my house in Hua Hin. I'm very happy with the windows and the service has been great. My project manager says their installation team was the best he has worked with in Thailand. I was tossing up going with aluminum vs Upve and I ended up going upvc and don't regret it. I did check out most of the companies on your list and a few more and the main reason I chose prime Asia was that they were able to import some specific windows from the USA for me and the quality of their locally assembled windows was the best I came across. As far as pricing goes my average price was a bit over 10,000 per m2 but that all depends on the windows you want some cost 6500 per m2 and some cost 15000 per m2. I also have a truck load of windows ( around 40 sets totaling roughly 200m2) so that price included a discount for volume.

The photo is the back of the house and the windows are swing and slide meaning that you can stack as many as you want to one side or leave as may as you want on the track and slide them around

BTW those windows at the back of the house were assembled in the US by prime asias supplier and shipped.. They are the first of their kind in Asia and there is a video on the prime Asia website showing how they work.
