A last few bits for the roof.

There need to be two more posts added

The landward end of the walk

some concrete to put your shoes on

waterhouse 9-5-01.jpg
There is some mesh left over from the roof to add strength to the concrete

It looks like a good mix

I might have forgotten or you might not have mentioned it or indeed wanted to, but may I ask how much this structure will cost?

I don't mind your asking at all. We don't have a budget as such. I think it will come in at under 200,000

At the moment we are at something like 100,000 in materials. All the steel is A grade over 4mm wall thickness. We have all the Sherawood for a celling, the floor, bench seats, and walkway (we think) we may have enough paint for the metal but probably not enough for the Sherawood and all the colourbond for the roof. Na-Sit is on ฿300 a day his wife is on ฿200 a day that is what he suggested and we agreed.

He isn't fast but he is good. at the moment I think his pay is at about ฿32,000 of which we are holding about ฿9,000 to be paid on completion. As we agreed at the beginning of the project we pay 5 days out of 7 and hold the 2 until completion. He has worked for 72 days so far.

We are happy that we will have a good job and he is proud of the build he is doing.

Just to put this in perspective I have just had to pay as much as we have already paid for 1 hour hospital treatment :? :? :?

That looks like a lot of hard work. Have you got these Welders on a daily or weekly or monthly rate

That wasn't the inspiration for the roof style. it was a case of form follows function.

However that thread was useful as an example for the bench seats for our welder.
