first piles being made.
A slight terminology correction, piles are driven into the ground or drilled into the ground (normally where the soil conditions are not optimum or for a very large structure), they are working on the framework for the columns (or posts).

edit notation: rec'd this PM from someone indicating may be piles: I think if you look at the picture they look round and are quite likely for bored piles -- if so ignore above comment.

yes, alot of water underground here, 10 metres down and still wet clay.

Thank you for the photos, it just proves there is at least one auger earth in Thailand...well at least the drill part of it.

16 footings for the house are in, still to go are the 4 footings for the terrace which I guess they will do at a later stage because their workmans shack is located over them at the moment.

Also they have blessed two of the columns which I believe is common practise for Thais when building a new house.

Good luck keep your eye on them at all times, no blessing at my house they just got on with it.

What a difference from the muddy mess of doing the foundation footing, Looks like they are doing nice clean work with the columns.
Looking forward to seeing the upstairs poured.
It's beginning to look like a house :)
