I see a lot of innovation there like with the gutters. And it works really well.
I, like you, won't fit bug-screens or at least at first. Do you have any problems living like that? Anything I should know?

its not a problem for me to live a little like the locals - a foreigner said to me, the country is no place for foreigners - it has its draw-backs - as i'm sure most who build in little villages find - the anti-mosquito cream works wonders - the kitchen is open to the air downstairs - i wanted in the design of the house to retain a lot of the living style of the family and locals - i didnt want to build an air-conditioned box insulated from the local culture - things like insect screens i think were an oversight at the time - but have no idea how we could have integrated them - and retained a good look

Same here.

That is my 'problem' as well and so I am hoping that the moving air will solve most of the problem together with a good repellent.

Wow, thats a great house, i am guessing that louvered walkway must be incredibly cool, especially with a prevailing breeze, love that design of the walkway it reminds me of being on a ship.

Its hard to desribe the house ?maybe a modern classic :!: but i love it whatever the description i am more of a nuts and bolts merchant angling toward solid over beauty but i am starting to rise to the challenge thanks Blair some thought went into it and it paid

Fine fine house! There aren`t many (any?) mostly wood house builds documented on this site so it`d be nice to see some construction pics, particularly of that amazing roof.
