We moved into the house mid Novemeber, there are still a few job outstanding.
Overall the finish of the house is very good, but we had to check the builders work daily, there were many small mistakes made by the builder, which if caught early enough were minor, but if left would of been massive.
During the project I tried to use the best quality materials as possible.
I will add more pictures during the next few days of the finished house.
I hope this will give others ideas when they are planning their build. This site has been a great help to me during the building process, with members offering advice and experiences along the way.
Its great to see the finished house that I've been planning for 5 years.

Great pics and a stunning looking house.
Some good advice early on about plumbing, however, when it comes to air con I feel you have made a bad choice!
For future reference the no 1 air con in Thailand is Daikin (http://www.daikin.co.th/) closely followed by Trane (http://www.tranethailand.com/.
What do I base my opinions on? 35 years in the trade!

Now that a year and a half has passed since the last post I was just wondering how things look and if there is anything you would have done differently?

I haven't posted for a while and will add pictures of the finished house and the projects that we have carried out since we moved into the house.
I found a good website below regarding Thai land measurements that people may find useful.

The land we purchased is as follows.
309 Sq. Wah
1236 Sq. Meters
13,287 Sq. Ft
0.309 Acre's

Land Measurement Converter
Land in Thailand is measured in rai, ngan and wah. Land prices are expressed in baht per rai or baht per wah for smaller plots. The tables below will help you convert measurements:
1 sq. wah = 4 sq. m.
1 acre = 2.471 rai or 43,560 sq. ft.
1 ngan = 100 wah or 400 sq. m.
1 hectare = 6.25 rai or 10,000 sq. m.
1 Rai = 4 Ngan or 1600 sq. m.
sq. Wah sq. ft. sq. m. Ngan Rai Acre(s) Hectare(s)

kevh: Just finished your story. A fine looking house indeed. I'm looking to seeing more pics.
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
