should add a great deal to the strength and to be honest the frame holding the galss is so mutch bigger why the smaller one ???
other than its easier for them to work with

The glass shop lady said that some westerners prefer the smallest profile to enable the largest glass area possible, while Thais almost always use the thicker frame version. But it is pretty much the first question the glass shops ask (we have been to 4 so far) when I show up, thick or thin? I too prefer the largest glass area, but with the internal white glossy wood frame, we have to choose the thick one.

Here is a comparison of frame-no frame windows.

My neighbour just had the frame-less installed and yes they do have a small frame.

The frame is 5x10cm does cut glass size substantially.

Hi Bill, are you saying that the 5x10 is the big frame. I ask this as my boq states 5 x 10 (2"x4") and i just wanted to make sure which one it is.

That is correct tothemark the frame is the 5x10cm around the perimeter. Everything else would be the same.
