Chiang Mai floods

Postby dozer » Thu Sep 29, 2005 5:42 pm

I can see that the floods up in Chaing Mai affected quite a few readers. Was it unavoidable or poor planning? If anyone is so inclinded as to post first hand experiences it might be insightful to the rest of us.

I think you are referring to a spam bot. The way it works it this. They actually enter a user ID then the bot sends out a few meaningless comments, but they have there on line casino web site reference as their web site.

Please PM me or email if you see this as I'd rather shut down the site before letting it be used as promotion for these deviates.

No need to close the site for that. Just add these CAPTCHA images on the post page. You know these annoying images with a hard to read number which you have to copy into an input field on the form.

Very effective to get these bots shut out. phpbb might have that feature already, I think I did see it mentioned somewhere.
