Did you get the final price on this 7,000 Baht per square metre pool yet?

Still waiting "wife" is dealing with it.

It's absolutely impossible to build a proper pool for Baht 7,000 / m2. I reckon it was a misprint - read Baht 17,000 and it would be about right.

My thoughts exactly and that's why I'm eagerly awaiting any news on the subject.

Sorry about the delay in updating, but the pool has been on hold while the rest of the house is being completed. Pool completion underway now.

Coming along nicely I assume you have a u shaped house with the pool in the center and it looks like the pump house at the end, with your underground storage water tank underneath, please correct me if I am wrong. Just a couple of things is your jacuzzi at the deep end or is the pool the same depth and your pump house will be quite noisy when the jacuzzi blower get's running so you might want to think about some sound insulation, mine is noisy and it spoils the the effect of relaxing whilst it is running so I hardly ever use it for that reason.

Looking at the pool I think it will be finished in a month or so unless you put ther breaks on again, not sure when the rest of the build will be completed but would not want it spoiled by construction debris in the meantime. Keep the pictures comming would like to see some of the overall house as well.

Yes, all correct. U shaped house, pump house/storage tank at the end. 3.5 x 10 meters. The pool has a slight slope, 1.2 to 1.5 at the deep end and yes the jacuzzi is at the deep end. All the pumps (pool and house pressure) will be in that pump house. Thanks for the tip on the noise, it will not be too difficult to line the pump house with some styro insulation if needed.

I should mention for those interested that the price for this pool, not including the underground tank, but including the pump house is 12,000 baht/sq. mtr. So far I'm very impressed with this builder....you notice I say "so far" as I will reserve final judgement when all is said and done. The house is a labour only contract so I get to choose the quality of the materials, but the pool is an all inclusive price and I don't see him skimping on materials there.

I could post some pics of the house, but that would be a bit of thread drift so will leave it at the pool for now.

Styro foam is not any good at noise supresion you will be better building a stud wall with fiberglass wool and using the green plasterboard because of the high humidity
The price of the pool looks pretty reasonable ? I was suprised by the depth of it with the tank Just one of those things i supose never really thought about it
my comments may be wrong but never deliberately

Does that price of baht 12,000 per m2 include the filter and pump, spa pump and air blower?
