Safe-T-Cut tripping

Postby expatriate » Sun Dec 31, 2017 11:47 am

My Safe-t-cut has been tripping every 3/4 hours since yesterday. this never happened before except in very hard rain storms (another question for another time). I live in Sattahip - no rain here for a long time. I'm wondering if it is the unit itself or power surges. If there is any way to check? When I measure the voltage immediately after the trip it is around 230-240. it's about 4 years old and is set on low sensitivity.

And also if anyone can recommend a electrician as the connections in the ceiling should probably be checked even if not related to this problem, and I don't want to do it myself.

I think I found the problem. The section with the working circuitry that can be pulled out from the front,it's wobbly. The slightest pressure causes the trip. I guess I will have to replace the unit. I must say these devices are not nearly as sturdy as when I bought my first one maybe 20 years ago.
