Hi again Marcas, thanks for the reply... I too have not been on here for some time and actually have started listing my build thread elsewhere ( i was thinking of simultaneously listing it across all the forums but I'm guessing that might not go down to well with moderators!).

It is no problem to post simultaneously with any forum that I know of.

For me if any forum does not like it I will simply stop posting to that forum and continue on others.

My builder just delivered qcon blocks and the invoice stated 17bt each for those who want to know (hang dong, chiang mai).
As for 40mm render, yea I would be a bit concerned too. Dont assume they used whats in the bag. it may have been a cement base fill before the final render coat.
