Hey Blue,
I?m also going to build a "Thai village home" in wood, with a little bit of touch of a "Aussie" queenslander home. Do you have any photos of your house? May I ask how much it cost to build?

Cheers Everyone,
The home that the wife and I are building is just about done. The total price came in at 385K THB.We ended up haveing to buy more wood then we had expexted. But that was our own fault. We decided to change the floor plan. The extra wood was new so it cost more.I will attach a few photos. As you can see by the photos we changed the shape of the home from the original plans. It is just about finished. We are happy for now. :D Time will always tell the answer.

Kondee?, Thanks for the link! Really great houses on this site?

?blue eyes?, Thanks for putting up some photos of your beautiful house.
Toilet and kitchen? How have you solved that? Do you have any photos from inside the house? Interested in the roof construction? how it?s done.
Sorry, ?blue?? many questions. I just try to get so much information I can before we start to build. This house building ?thing? is new to us.

Howdy millerflip,
Here a a few photos.Probably not what you expected. But as they say "When in Rome do as the Romans do"or is that Thailand? Enjoy
Oh I forgot to say that the old home is right next to the new home.So we are using the old kitchen, and I do mean oooold :( We are going to leave the old home in place for the use of guests and such.
