Best Submersible Pump?

Postby Boon Mee » Thu Feb 04, 2010 8:45 pm

Got the water well drilled and hit good H2O at 32 meters. Wondering what submersible pump is "best"? Heard there's an Italian pump manufacturer that is popular although the only brand name I know is Toshiba. Was quoted between 20 - 30K baht for the submersible.

Cheers!

On our bore holes have always used the included pump which is a Franklin brand and no failures yet after several holes.

We just had a well drilled last week and used a Franklin FPS 4400 series 1hp 70 lpm rating. Well is 40 meters and the water coming from this pump is plentiful and at 55 psi constantly even with 4 hoses running. Don't know about long life yet but in the early stages I am impressed with this pump. Well guy uses them exclusively and says they work great for him as this pump is included in his package deal.

How much did your bore holes cost and what was the deals ?

I called into a development site the other day and saw a drill rig there. We asked the guy the cost and he quoted 170k guaranteed find water or not pay. Inclusive of pump and all hooked up to go. Casing was pvc at 6 inches.

So, no per metre charge, which could be good or bad, plus our area is very rocky, so he have have a lot of hard drilling.

The development he is doing now has contracted him to dig 5 bores and he was on the first when we were there and he had just hit muddy soil at just over 60m.

Not sure the pump brand he includes, but shall find out more as he coming to inspect site this week I think.

I wrote more about it at http://www.coolthaihouse.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1698&start=15#p12111.
"80,000 Baht is the price we have to pay. ....
It is no cure, no pay and a lifetime's guarantee of water at a minimum 2,000 litres per hour. Free service is also included as well as the Franklin submersible pump."

Nice. TF...how big is the casing in your bore TF and the inner piping ?

Fred...what size is the casing...read the thread, did not see size though. I presume they used the glued method for the pvc and not the screw ins ?

Do these guys travel ? Care to pass on a phone number ?
